Melbourne, Vic. c. 1914. Studio portrait of 1519 Private (Pte) Arthur Duncombe King, 1st Australian Machine Gun Corps. Pte King enlisted on 29 December 1914 and was killed in action, aged 24, on 4 October 1917 in Belgium. He was one of four brothers who served overseas during the First World War, only two returned to Australia.
