Description
The maintenance hangar of the Rotary Wing Aviation Unit (RWAU). The maintenance on RWAU helicopters was of an exceptionally high standard and contributed to the award of the Gloster Trophy to the unit in 1985. The ANZAC Contingent of the Multinational Force and Observers (ACMFO) was made up of Australian and New Zealand personnel which formed the RWAU, flying RAAF Helicopters, which provided the airlift capability to the MFO monitoring the Egyptian and Israeli cease fire in the Sinai from 25 April 1982 to the 17 March 1986.
