Description
USAF C5 Galaxy commencing a fly past of RAAF Base Fairbairn, on board are the members of ANZAC Contingent of the Multinational Force and Observers (ACMFO) and eight RAAF Iroquois UH1H Helicopters back in Australia at the end of their deployment to the Sinai. The ACMFO was made up of Australian and New Zealand personnel which formed the Rotary Wing Aviation Unit (RWAU), flying RAAF Helicopters, which provided the airlift capability to the MFO monitoring the Egyptian and Israeli cease fire in the Sinai from 25 April 1982 to the 17 March 1986.
