At the Australian Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) refreshment stall, a scene at a two day carnival held by the 9th Brigade on the Somme under the shadow of Amiens Cathedral. On the second afternoon of the carnival, a German shrapnel shell burst overhead, a diversion which was not according to programme.
