Identified in the back row from left to right: Captain (Capt) Ernest Moore McCaffery, Regimental Medical Officer; Major George Walter Carter, Padre; Lieutenant (Lt) Donat Walter Barker; Lt William Janes Brewster Goad; Lt William Stephen McShane (killed in action in France on 9 August 1918); Lt Reginald Alfred Hall; Lt Waldo Esmond Warne-Smith MC (died of wounds in France on 20 September 1918); and Lt George Simpson (killed in action 23 August 1918).
