Description

A bridge in course of construction over the railway cutting at Vendelles, by the 12th Field Company of Australian Engineers. It replaced a demolished brick structure. Timber trestles and rolled steel joists from captured German dumps were used in the construction of this bridge, which, with a total span of eighty six feet, and a heights of thirty two feet, took an axle load of fourteen tons.
