Description
The quarry between Bure-sur-l'Ancre and Ribemont, which served as the 28th Battalion Headquarters while the battalion was enagaged in the line on the hill above the Dernancourt Casualty Clearing Station. Unidentified soldiers are gathered around the various shelters. Note in the foreground, on the left, several piles of shovels. This is the right hand image in a two part panorama.
