Associated with Honorary Captain Stanley T Parkes, 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance. Captain Parkes served at Gallipoli and later in the Middle East. He was commissioned in the field and was Mentioned in Despatches in 1916. He returned to Melbourne, Australia in 1919.
