An unidentified Lieutenant observing the graves of two Australian gunners near a ruined train station. The grave at right is that of 3069 Corporal Harry James, 13th Light Trench Mortar Battery, who was killed in action on 26 April 1918. Note the French soldiers on the far left, and the pile of artillery shells on the ground at centre.
