Description
"Regimental Sergeant Major John Kirkcaldy Dick, 41st Battery, (right), and his brother James, on left, who lost his arm in the great fight at Ypres, Belgium and is still serving out here. Jack and I are great pals & he is one of the best. Poor Jack was killed on Menin Rd 13/11/1917 near Ypres" [sic 13/10/1917]. James has a prosthetic left arm/hand.
