Description
Canadians advance south of the railway. Canadian skirmishers with a tank of the 13th Tank Battalion attacking a machine gun post, which was on the north side of the railway hedge, in front of the Australian sector of the line. Some difficulty was experienced in obtaining this photograph as the men were at the time under heavy fire from machine guns from the trees on the skyline in the distance on the right. Seen in the centre, Lieutenant (Lt) Hall and Lt Payne routing out an enemy machine gun post.
