Grave marker of British pilot officer Captain (Capt) Albert Ball, VC, DSO & two Bars, MC, Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur, Order of St. George (4th class), of No. 56 Squadron, the Royal Flying Corps. Capt Ball was killed in action on 7 May near Douai, France.
