An informal portrait of Major D J Glasfurd (later Brigadier General), Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders. Major Glasfurd was, at the time, GSO 1st Australian Division. He was mortally wounded at 'Cheese Road' in France on 12 November 1916 when commanding the 12th Australian Infantry Brigade.
