An R.E.8 aircraft, serial number A3662, 'J', presented to the Australian Flying Corps by Mr H Teesdale Smith of Adelaide, SA. It is seen here in the grounds of the airfield of the 3rd Squadron, AFC, at Bailleul. (Note the code letters 'B4' painted out on the upper wing panels and the white circular squadron insignia).
