Studio portrait of Sergeant (Sgt) Arthur James Polson, 29th Battalion in civilian clothing. An ironmonger from Elsternwick, Vic prior to enlistment, Sgt Polson died of cerebro spinal meningitis at the Alfred Hospital Melbourne on 3 September 1915 and was buried in the Coburg General Cemetery.
