Studio portrait of 5074 Private Clyde Henry Rendell, 21st Battalion from Yarram, Gippsland, Victoria. A 20 year old farmer prior to enlisting on 29 January 1916, he embarked for overseas with the 13th Reinforcements from Melbourne on 3 July 1916 aboard HMAT Ayrshire. He was killed in action at Villers Bretonneux, France on 6 July 1918 and is buried in the Villers Bretonneux Military Cemetery.
