Collection relating to the World War I service of Sister Edith Florence Avenell, Australian Army Nursing Service. Collection consists of letter from Sister Avenell to her family detailing her work as a nurse in Heliopolis, on board hospital ships returning to Australia, and in France, England and Australia.
