Warren, George Goulburn (Sergeant, b.1893 - d.1917)
Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 267Sergeant George Goulburn Warren, 23rd Infantry Battalion. Collection consists of typed extracts from letters written by Sgt Warren from 20 June 1915 until 13 August 1916. The letters are quite detailed and mention the service conditions in Egypt, the evacuation of Gallipoli, and trench life in France. Sgt Warren was Killed In Action at Passchendaele on 9 October 1917.
