Mawby, Robert Noel (Gunner, b1895 - d.1978)
Description
Typed manuscript titled 'The Acrid Taste of Danger', based on personal diary maintained by 20846 Gunner Mawby, of 45 Battery 12 Artillery Brigade, while serving in France during 1917-1918. Handwritten epilogue written by LtCol J R Ellis, RAA. Manuscript also contains some handwritten annotations by Mawby, a couple of photographs, and some original maps, memorabilia and notes. Mawby's original handwritten 1916, 1917 and 1918 diaries are located in collection 3DRL/6116.
