Collection relating to 5625 Private (Pte) Erle Oakley Neaves, 20th Battalion AIF, who was killed in action near Polygon Wood on 6 November 1917. Comprises 7 letters, some of them censored, regarding Neaves' hospitalisation in England, in which he comments on the English hospital system. Also includes 2 photographs; one a studio portrait of Pte Neaves, and the other a group photograph, including Neaves.
