Description
Collection relating to the service of Lieutenant John Laidley Merivale, 6 Light Horse Regiment & 4 Battalion, AIF, Gallipoli, 1915. Collection consists of four letters [typescript carbon copies] written by Lieutenant Merivale to his mother; one letter [typescript carbon copy] by an unknown writer describing his experiences during the Battle of Lone Pine; a scrapbook containing newspaper cuttings, photographs, certificates, and general ephemera relating to the Merivale family. (Location of original letters unknown.)
