Ridley, John Gotch MC (Lieutenant, b.1896 - d.1976)
Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of Lt John Gotch Ridley, 53 Battalion. Collection consists of four volumes of letters (710 in all) written by Ridley to his family. The letters describe his service in France, hospitalisation in England, and the awarding of the Military Cross for action near Bullicourt in 1918. Also included are copies of telegrams between 1916-1919.
