Collection relating to the Second World War service of NX28978 Private Ronald William Houlahan, 1940-1942.
Wallet 1 of 1 contains a diary kept by Houlahan during his service in Singapore between 1940-1942 as well as a typed retrospective memoir on the involvement of the 2/15th Field Regiment, 29th Battery B Troop members in the Battle of Malaya and Singapore, 1940-1942. Their movements during the war and involvement in the Battle of Singapore are outlined and other topics covered include impressions of Singapore, conditions, food, rations, air raids and downtime.
