Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of Lieutenant Clifton Albert Sweetnam, 53 Battalion, AIF, France, England and Australia, 1916-1939.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Contains a letter from Sweetnam's cousin, Noble Sweetnam, to Sweetnam's parents, Albert and Clara Sweetnam, containing a report of Sweetnam's brave reputation; short report regarding poor travel instructions, prepared by Sweetnam and Lieutenant R V Hill; copy of 5 Division Routine Order 113 dated 8 December 1916 acknowledging Sweetnam's bravery; paybook for 1916; four postcards to family members; and a 1939 newspaper clipping of a funeral notice for Sweetnam.
