Collection relating to the First World War service of 3237 Private Arthur George Sindrey, 5 Battalion, At sea, France and England, 1917-1918.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection contains two letters from Private Sindrey to his wife [Isabella Sindrey] that he wrote while on active service from 1917-1918. In the letters, he describes the voyage to England on the HMAT Medic, service in France including fighting on the Somme, at Villers Bretonneux and at Mont St Quentin, and injury and hospitalisation in England.
