Collection relating to the First World War service of No. 588 Lance Corporal Frederick William Neal. Collection consists of an original diary detailing embarkation from Brisbane aboard the SS Omrah; convoy from King George Sound; Emden prisoners aboard ship; training in Egypt and Lemnos; landing and wounding on Gallipoli; and eventual return to Australia in August 1915.
