Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX24581 Colonel Leon Rossister Dalgleish Stahle, 1942.
Wallet 1 of 1 consists of various bound papers including an address by Stahle to members of the Ordnance Infantry Battalion congratulating and thanking them for their service and conduct, and outlining their defence of Singapore. Stahle also outlines his views on how soldiers should conduct themselves when they are held as a prisoner of war (POW). The collection also includes a copy of a farewell letter from Stahle addressed to the Australian Army Ordanance Corps (AAOC), Singapore as well as the Nominal Rolls of Ordnance Corps Units, 8th Division, 2nd Australian Imperial Force (AIF).
