Biographical note: Served with the 24th Battalion, AIF. Killed in action near Bapaume, 4, March 1917. Other biographical details: diamond setter; of Princes Hill (North Carlton), Victoria; born East Melbourne; educated privately; sergeant in 60th Infantry Regiment (Princes Hill); Citizen Forces, C. M. F.; severely wounded at Pozieres; age at time of death 22 years 8 months.
