Collection relating to service of Major Leslie Jack Coulter DSO, 3 Australian Tunnelling Company, France 1917. Collection includes correspondence to Coulter from Major A. Sanderson DSO MC, 3 Australian Tunnelling Company commenting on the action at Laventie, 19 July 1916.

History / Summary

Biographical note: Served in the 3rd Tunnelling Company, AIF. Mining Engineer, Ballarat, VIC; born Ballarat. Age at time of death 26. Educated at Ballarat College (Grenville College?) and at Ballarat School of Mines. Killed in action 28 June 1917, near Loos, France.
