Annand, Frederick William Gadsby (Lieutenant Colonel, b.1872 - d.1958)
Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of Lieutenant Colonel Frederick William Gadsby Annand, 7th Field Company Engineers and 2nd Australian Pioneer Battalion. Collection consists of five diaries covering 1915-1919 detailing troop movements, rountines and leave activities. Also included is some family correspondence, official and financial papers collected during his time as Commander of 2nd Pioneer Battalion, papers relating to Annand's role as commanding officer of the troopship "Norman" returning to Australia in 1919, and various souvenirs and news clippings.
