Description
Signal sent by Wing-Commander J M Lerew to RAAF HQ, from Rabul, 21 January 1942. Message in Latin reads: "Morituri - vos - salutamus" (We who are about to die, salute you). Follow up message (EXDOC169) was sent to clarify what he meant by this.
