Collection relating to the service of Lieutenant Morton McLeod Allan, 12 Battalion, France, September-October 1917. Collection includes letters from Allan as printed in newspaper (unnamed) and condolence letters sent to Allan's parents after Allan was killed in action at Polygon Wood, 20 September 1917. Photocopies made by Australian War Memorial in 1928 and bound into file cover. Location of originals unknown.
