Description
Collection relating to the service of 4728 Private Frederick James Allen, 53 Battalion, France and Germany, 1916-1918. Collection consists of a letter dated 20 September 1918, written from Holland by Pte Allen describing his capture (19-20 July 1916) and later escape from a German prisoner-of-war camp, Munster, Westphalia (11 September 1918).
