Original diary and transcript kept by Corporal (Cpl) Thompson of 2/6 Field Company, Royal Australian Engineers, after his capture on Java and as a prisoner of war (POW) at Changi and different camps on the Burma Railway; various POW medical chits and two maps of Java hidden by Cpl Thompson in case he was able to escape capture.
