Biographical note: 2nd Lieutenant Allan Stewart McMaster, 3 Battalion, AIF. Bootmaker, of Adamstown, NSW; born Tingha, NSW; educated at a public school; held a commission in the Citizen Forces of the CMF (senior cadets); joined the AIF on 21 August 1915; killed in action at Hermies, 9 April 1917, aged 22. Son of Duncan McIntyre McMaster and Mary McMaster, of Victoria St., Adamstown, NSW.
