Description
Collection relating to Irene Simkin, a former member of the RAF, and wife of an army officer who served in Korea, 1957-1958. Collection consists of a copy of a typed transcript describing her military experiences in Singapore shortly after the end of the Second World War; the apprehension she felt when newly married, and her husband was posted to Korea; her experience and conditions encountered following her husband to Malaya in 1957 with two small children; and life in Australia while her husband was posted to Vietnam.
