Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of Captain John Collings Taswell Glossop, HMAS Sydney. Collection consists of a six page typed 'letter of proceedings' dated 15 November 1914, forwarded to the Department of Navy, Melbourne, recording details of the naval battle off the Cocos Keeling Islands between the German SMS Emden and Australian HMAS Sydney on 9 November 1914.
