Peart, William Andrew Reginald (Major, b.? - d.1917)
Collection relating to the service of Major William Andrew Reginald Peart, 2 Brigade Australian Field Artillery, AIF. Collection consists chiefly of three general reports on the military career and active service of Major Peart, written in response to a request from the Commandant, Royal Military College, Duntroon, of which Major Peart was a graduate. The reports were written by Lieutenant Colonel Henry Dundas Keith Macartney, [CMG, DSO], Lieutenant Colonel David Henry Moore, [DSO], and Major General [later Sir] Harold Bridgwood Walker [KCB, DSO]. Collection also contains associated memos and covering letters.
Biographical notes: Major William Andrew Reginald Peart, 2 Brigade, Australian Field Artillery, AIF. Died of wounds 3 November, 1917. Age 21. Son of Andrew and Janet Peart, of Vaughan, 20 Byron St., Moonee Ponds, Victoria, Australia. Native of Elsternwick, Victoria.
