Description
Collection relating to the service of 122 Private Thomas Ewin Ross, 14th Battalion, 1915 Egypt and Corporal Roy Leigh Ross, 59th Battalion, France, 1916.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of two letters. Ewin Ross writes to his elder brother just prior to embarkation for Gallipoli and describes in detail the so-called Battle of the Wozzer (Wazzir) in Cairo on Good Friday, 1915. Roy Ross's letter was written to his mother just prior to his death at Fromelles and describes journey from Egypt and scenery in France.
