Petty Officers badge with bullion embroidery and two good conduct stripes : Stoker Petty Officer R D Gilmore, Royal Australian Navy
Description
Black wool rank badge embroidered in gold bullion and red and green cotton with the insignia of Petty Officer in the form of two crossed anchors surmounted by a King's Crown. Underneath the badge is attached two good conduct stripes made of gold bullion lace stitched onto a black wool background. The stripes are in the shape of cheverons.
History / Summary
Associated with 19418 Petty Officer Stoker Ronald David Gilmore, Royal Australian Navy. Gilmore served in HMAS Yarra and in HMAS Warrego in 1941. His later death was accepted as being due to his wartime service.
