The original grave of NX9078 Signalman (Sig) Dudley Albert Ross, E Section, 2/7 Australian Field Regiment, 9th Divisional Signals Company. Sig Ross was killed in action in Egypt on 10 August 1942, aged 26 years, and is buried in El Alamein War Cemetery. Standing behind the grave is VX1617 Sig Harold Leopold (Hal) Renouf, E Section Signallers, 2/7 Australian Field Regiment of Port Melbourne, Vic.
