Description

Two young Khmer girls stand in front of a map of Cambodia at the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crime in Phnom Penh made entirely from over 200 skulls of the remains of prisoners exhumed from shallow graves found within the confines of Tuol Sleng Prison. A contributions box and a plastic bag of incense sit on a chair in front of the map, close to a burning candle. Five metres square in size, this memorial has survived criticism and calls to finally lay these victims to rest.
