Description

Peace Monitoring Group Bougainville patrol from Monitoring Team Arawa conduct work party near Zeune Island and Koromira Village to assist local ex combatants build a community centre, 22 June 2000. Shows ex combatants from Koromira Village swim ashore to collect pre sawn timber beams. Beams were transported from Zeune Island to Koromira by PMG in LCM8. Boat crew supervise loading, Private Nathan Bond. Ex combatants load timber beams aboard LCM8 for transportation to Koromira Village. LCM8 arrives at Koromira village. Ex combatants unload timber. Aropa Ground airfield, Bougainville 4-5 July 2000. Workteam at Aropa Ground prepare UH-1H Iroquois helicopter to return to Australia in an RAAF C-130 Hercules for servicing. Unloading replacement helicopter. Personnel include: Captain Jez King, Sergeant Czislowski, Corporal Norm Beer, LAC Dave Walkin, Corporal Chambers, Staff Sergeant Fletcher, Lieutenant Cash, Craftsman Middleton, Corporal Fox, Craftsman McMahon. Also shows stores being unloaded from ship "Island Express" at LST Loloho.
