Frost, Frank (Lance Corporal, b.1888 - d.1917)
Description
A 3-page private letter written in France by 2350A Lance Corporal Frank Frost, 3 Battalion, 17th Reinforcements. The letter was written on 16 February 1917 and is addressed to his family. Frost writes of being shelled by the Germans in their trench, receiving a Christmas parcel from home, having rheumatic pains, and the living conditions, including the weather and food supplies. This was the last letter written by Frost before he was killed at Hermies on 15 April 1917.
