Description
A section of a trench which formed part of the Hindenburg Main Line near Bony. Trench strong points, one of which can be seen in the photograph, with supports for wooden fire steps projecting from it, were very numerous and mostly strengthened by huge blocks of concrete. American and Australian troops captured this section of the enemy defence system on 29 September 1918.
