Keep mum, she's not so dumb!
Description
British poster featuring three servicemen of the Army, Navy and Airforce standing near a languid femme fatale, who is reclining in a chair in the foreground. The woman is a classic fourties blonde bombshell, and the atmosphere, heightened by the slightly golden tonal values of the work, is one of conviviality and relaxtion. The servicemen are clearly relaxing, and are smoking and drinking. At the bottom of the poster, printed in black ink is the slogan 'Keep mum she's not so dumb!'. Beneath this, in orange ink, is the oft repeated phrase in British Second World War posters: 'Careless talk costs lives'. The poster warns against discussing military secrets around civilians.
