German shoulder strap : 5 Foot Artillery Battalion
Description
German army shoulder strap of 5 Fussartillerie (Foot Artillery) Battalion. The shoulder strap is of golden-yellow woollen fabric with a single buttonhole at the inner end. A symbol of crossed flaming artillery shells in red fabric, outlined and detailed with red cotton, is carried above the numeral '5' in red cotton chain stitch. The underside of the shoulder strap is German field grey woollen fabric.
