Description

The dugouts cut into the base of a hill which served as the headquarters of the 37th Battalion. Above are the woods where at the end of March 1918 troops of the 10th Australian Infantry Brigade experienced sharp fighting in holding up the German advance. On the ridge on the far right are several unidentified buildings. This is the right hand image in a two part panorama. See E04688P for the combined image.
