Description
Unidentified soldiers standing outside dugouts cut into the base of a hill. These dugouts served as the headquarters of the 37th Battalion. Above are the woods where at the end of March 1918 troops of the 10th Australian Infantry Brigade experienced sharp fighting in holding up the German advance. On the ridge on the far right are several unidentified buildings. This is a digitally combined composite panorama made up of two separate images. It is only available as a digital print. The two images are also available separately at E04668 and E04669.
