Description
Four unidentified soldiers gathered around a disabled British Mark V* Male tank which was put out of action by land mines and German shellfire on 29 September 1918. The tank is marked with the War Department number 9890, identifying it as a tank of the 301st Battalion, A Company, commanded by Lt Gutkowistu. Note the semaphore paddles on the roof which are used for signalling other units. There are several other disabled tanks in the background.
